Rasoolullah's robe

In Madinah, there was lot of munafeequn, those people who convert to islam for not real, fact that they hate islam. the most popular munafeequn is Abdullah bin ubay bin salul. He was the most dangerous one, we had made up stories among anshar people that almost start the war between khazraj tribe and Aus tribe which had united under the flag of islam.
One day Abdullah bin ubay got sick, his son "abdullah" came over Rasoolullah Muhammad SAW, he's known as true muslim and very different from his father 180 degree.
He said to Rosulullah SAW, “O' Rosoolullah, my father sick, I think his death's near. he told me to ask you to visit him. And Rasoolullah SAW agreed.
seen this, Omar ibnu Khatab sullened, he Upset heard Rosoolullah had accepted abdullah's request.
Then Rosoolullah wear the most beautiful robe he had, to respect Abdullah bin ubay, then rasoolullah and umar ibnu khatab arrived at abdullah bin ubay's house. Abdullah bin ubay seems so frightened, worried abt his bad deeds all his live to muslim and islam, he hold Rosoolullah's robe so tight and said " O Rasoolullah please cover my body with ur robe, please give it to me so i can die covered by ur robe..."
omar ibnu khatab got mad, but Rosoolullah keep show his highest nobles, then he put off his robe and cover abdullah bin ubay with his own robe. Abdullah's getting calm think that his sins had been forgiven by Allah. abdullah bin ubay died.
Then Omar ibnu khatab says to Rosoolullah
“why you had give ur robe to abdullah, like he was ur lover, meanwhile he was ur foe. Rosoolullah replied him and show his smile,
"Abdullah s the one who hate me, i m not even hate him"
“ya... u treat him too good, u even gave him ur robe, whereas the other sahabah would not get this chance to die covered by ur robe,
“O' Omar please don’t be in narrow minded, can i not treat him nice just a second before he had the eternal torment, he wouldn't be saved from hellfire by my robe, my robe couldn't save anyone from hell, but only their eeman and their good deeds.”

what we got here??,
fulfill last request of someone who dying even he hate you all his life,
show the highest respect to other people with the best u can give…even they hate you,
treat someone nicely… though they had treat u bad
anyone could be hate you… just don’t hate them
don’t be narrow minded…. think that only eeman and good deeds can bring eternal happiness
can we???... why we always make excuses “We are not Rosool” why not think “We learn from Rasoolullah”

Dried field needs to be plowed

A’udzubillahiminnasysyaitannirrajiem
Bissmilllahirrahmaniirahim

I seek Allah’s guidance in write this… cos it might only cos of my lust to write this… to encounter whole things happened to me these days…
Started with place where I work this time and b4… it is always dried field of Islamic atmosphere… place where I’m the only one stricted to sharia… hijabified, trying to avoid in shake hand with man (but sometimes its hard), surely prayer and fasting, and “fearless to my boss :D” these such attitudes are definitely strange for my colleagues at office.
i’m totally realize these situation would reduce my iman, being here is quite difficult, meet different thoughts from different people… fact is… its true… I’m poisoned. sometimes loose control, (but tried to not drowned by the current) some might says I’m dying.
one thing might need to considered, we are the best among us… what make muslim special and different with jews are we’re doing da’wah wherever we are. we enjoin the good deeds and forbid the bad deeds.
Allah won’t put upon us something we can’t bear. we never know, which level are we, when we never try to play a part of this session (da’wah), can we say we can’t bear of something when we never tried??? some muslim more choose to plow the vertilized field cos its simple or just try to have save job, some other let theirselves infected and with Allah’s help nutrized their life with antibody they’ve prepared before plow this area.
we can change our perspectives when we look something, I look this dried field as potential area for me to plant seeds of islam, I look this area as place where I can strive to get Allah’s mercies, have we think, that they need us? they might dried cos no one interest to soak them with islam, not because they refused, they might darkened cos they don’t know how to turn on the light of islam, (in this case… I m in muslim population) its our responsibility. I think, it just not the right time to be exclusive, and personally possessed by being saint, we don’t need saint, we need people to vertilize the dried field.
sometimes we think thats useless work on this, does man deserve to reward what we have done? Man isn’t Allah… Allah is the One who can jugde the rewards, there’s nothing useless in the eyes of Allah if we look for Allah’s bless, but when we only focus just for the result, means we are a looser. how pathetic, think that we have right to calculate with mathematic the success of da’wah. but remember we r never fail in da’wah long as we tried, new generation will come and continue this way. it always be like this. hope when I sign out from here... this field had been ready to be planted by new comers. inshaAllah. and pls pray 4 me to call my friends to obey Allah
it’s a ridiculous when I write this, my senses yell at me, “you’re polluted, infected and poisoned…”
Allah… help me!!! I m going under of this ship… its abt time to be drowned…
I need to refuel my antibody that I unable to get from my old docter. d ya have same like me?
lets share… I might need nasihah from u or u can be my online teacher. here u can mail me: Webmistress
u can my docter too *wink*
Alhamdulillahirabbil'Alamin

Organization of Islamic Conference – Vision for 2050

by Dr. Minhaj A. Qidwai

The sole body representing the voice of Muslims throughout the world is the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). It is an inter-governmental organization grouping fifty-seven States. These States in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, on 25 September 1969 decided to pool their resources together, combine their efforts and speak with one voice to safeguard the interest and ensure the progress and well-being of their peoples and those of other Muslims in the world over.

The OIC was established in the wake of the criminal arson perpetrated on 21 August 1969 by Zionist elements against Al-Aqsa Mosque, in occupied Jerusalem. It was to defend the honor; dignity and faith of the Muslims, to face this bitter challenge launched in the holy city of Al-Quds, against the Mosque of Al-Aqsa, the first Qibla and third holiest Shrine of Islam. At that time, the OIC was able to muster unanimous worldwide condemnation of this heinous act. OIC also provided a forum for the Islamic states to think together of their common cause and overcome the differences, unite and lay the foundations of this large grouping of States. The OIC was also entrusted, in absolute priority, to work towards liberating Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa.

Six months later, in March 1970, Jeddah was chosen as a permanent General Secretariat, pending the liberation of Jerusalem, which would be the permanent Headquarters. Two and a half years after Rabat, in February 1972, the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers, meeting adopted the Charter of the Organization, whose purpose was to strengthen solidarity and cooperation among Islamic States in the political, economic, cultural, scientific and social fields.

Let us analyze the charter and see what has happened since then.

1. The organization was supposed to Strengthen:

a) Islamic solidarity among Member States: This has hardly been achieved. The Islamic States have been fighting with each other (Iran and Iraq), and some have become under occupation. Namely, Iraq and Afghanistan. There are differences between the Islamic States. Libya, an Arab State does not enjoy good relations with Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Even in Algeria, the Muslims are fighting for their rights, with their fellow Muslim leaders.

b) Cooperation in the political, economic, social, cultural and scientific fields: There has been sporadic co-operation in this field. The Standing Committee for Information and Cultural Affairs (COMIAC), Standing Committee for Scientific and Technical Cooperation (COMSTECH) and Standing Committee for Economic and Trade Cooperation (COMCEC), exist, but need to play an active role.

c) The struggle of all Muslim people to safeguard their dignity, independence and national rights: The organization failed to address the problem of occupation of Iraq.

2. Coordinate action to:

a) Safeguard the Holy Places: The holy places of Muslims are still under occupation, and the required coordination is yet to be seen for safeguarding the holy places. Even the country that took lead in establishing OIC (Morocco) has violated the charter by recognition of Israel. Well there are also countries like Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, and Qatar, who have done the same thing. The Al-Quds Committee exists on paper, for looking after the above charter. Needs to become vibrant.

b) Support the struggle of the Palestinian people and assist them in recovering their rights and liberating their occupied territories. The moral and financial support for the Palestinian people is there, but diminishing day by day. The liberation of occupied territories looks dismal as day passes.

3. Work to:

a) Eliminate racial discrimination and all forms of colonialism: The discrimination among Muslims is present. We are branched as Arabs and non-Arabs and Sunni and Shiia. The elimination has not been possible. And the colonialism in form of Iraqi occupation is in front of us. The people of Kashmir are under Indian occupation

b) Create a favorable atmosphere for the promotion of cooperation and understanding between Member States and other countries. OIC has provided a forum to the member states for co-operation. But, this opportunity needs to be capitalized.

The review of charter does not create a picture of a vibrant OIC. With this background, the leaders from 57 Muslim countries are scheduled to gather in Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian capital, from Oct. 16 to 18, for the 10th summit of the OIC. All indications are that the summit is going to witness quite a bit of diplomatic fireworks.

If this is going to be a usual OIC summit, which has a hallmark of futile gatherings where exercises in oratory and meaningless resolutions are presented as substitutes for measured judgment. Fingers of blame will be pointed, making the owners of the fingers feel good without having to face the arduous task of serious analysis and sober policy-making.

But, would the Kuala Lumpur summit be an exercise in futility? The answer is, it should not. The status of Muslims of the world demand that their leaders sit together to develop a vision 2050 for themselves. The Muslims of today are in disarray. OIC is the only hope of reviving the past of the Muslims, and putting them into the driving force of the world. The charter needs to be reviewed, and given a practical look for the vision 2050.

OIC need to develop a pragmatic approach for solving the problems of Ummah.

A catalyst agent needs to be taking the lead role of the organization. The summit host, Mahathir Mohamed, Malaysia's prime minister, can be the person. He recently said, "I am interested in what we, as Muslims, can do for ourselves." This is the first approach that needs to be taken.

Economic power is the reality of the day. Barring a handful Muslim countries, majority of Muslims are living below the poverty line. As long as Muslim countries remain poor and underdeveloped they will not only fail to give their citizens a decent life but would also count for little in terms of international politics. But why is it that most Muslim countries fail to free themselves from the shackles of poverty? The classical answer given by the "blame others" school is that Muslims have received a raw deal from the Western powers. No, it is the leaders that have to take blame of this. Especially, the spiritual leaders.

The Muslim nations need a new wave of economic, social and political reforms. Muslim world needs most urgently is a separation of the mosque and the state. But, anyone familiar with Islamic theology and politics would know, this is a largely fictitious problem. What the Muslim world needs is a separation of business from the state, which means the creation of a genuine private sector without which no modern market economy is possible.

The other important issue OIC is facing is the reason of its existence – to safeguard the holy cities and liberate Jerusalem. In the present scenario, it is unlikely that the OIC will be able to do so, unless it develops an Islamic army capable to defeat Israel. Most Muslim nations have danced around the issue for decades. They have not decided whether they wish to work for the destruction of Israel or to accept it, even as a bitter pill to swallow. That dual strategy has perpetuated a no-peace-no-war situation of which the principal victims have been the Palestinians. OIC member states need to adopt a unanimous approach in dealing with Israel. Either accept it as a reality or fight to eliminate it. The two-way policy is hurting the interests of Ummah.

Another serious issue at the helm of OIC would be the occupation of Iraq. OIC needs to develop a strategy that in future such aggressions are prevented. Upcoming may be against Syria, and Iran.

For future, OIC should not only play an active role in economic, cultural, political, and scientific development, but also eventually formulate Islamic armed forces capable of deployment in peace and against aggression. An Islamic union at the pattern of European Union should be the vision 2050 for OIC, and Dr. Mahathir has the capability to galvanize the Islamic countries in formulating such a union.

I write what i read....

during this holy month, instead reading qura'an i also read a book... i m very much voracious in reading a history mostly abt history of islam and sahabah of rosul then novel or other western book. this book of the month is "fadilah amal" translated from urdu language... my bro said its book of jamath.... whatever... anyway what's wrong in readin'... fact i read many islamic book from many groups... all are same... islam is like one big house with many chambers and i bet Arrosul will come to each chamber... the chamber which praise Allah and His rasool.

i love this book full of hikmah, lotta story abt sahabah... how they much concernt abt their 'ibadah, how they affraid and love Allah and His Rasool, how they much excited too die for islam, such anas bin Nadhar.... he martyred in the battle with 80 wound and only his sister recognized him by his finger... MashaAllah i m shiver when i read this, or the most famous black muslim which had great voice to perform Adzan he's bilal bin rabah... he was a slave, he was tortured by kafereen by mean way... he's burnt under the hottest dessert on the big stone they oppresed him, to make him leave the monotheism religion, but he kept uttering one word and its "Ahad...Ahad... Ahad" when prophet see this he said.... o billal be patient to this and Allah will help u.... oneday prophet had a dream (i seek Allah's forgiveness if i got wrong in sentence) that he heard the step of Bilal sandals though bilal still far from jannah and prophet asked "what makes u so special?" fact, billal keep his wodhoo thru his live... subhanaAllah...
Sahabah Hudzaifah ran out from his bad while he gathered with her wife when he heard muslim lost in the battle of Uhud, he took his sword and join the battle and he got martyred.... he just got married but he sincered to die for islam, he left his happiness, he died without doing janabat.... prophet said... i saw angels showered him and prophet smilled... Allahu Akbar

what d ya feel when u read this.... crying to ourselves
there are many stories of sahabah in this book... but how the writter express is impressed me... make me feel guilty of my deeds...

I love to cry
but i never sad
let this eyes blind with the tears
let this nose clogged up with no breath
let me drawned in sea of divinity

I love to shiver
cos I affraid of my God
cos I worried of my Deeds
cos I will meet my Beloved One

I love Dark
so Only Islam lights me
I love to be prisoned
so Only Allah will rescue me
I love being Deaf
so only Qur'an whisperes me
I love being fool
so Only Arrosool teaches me
I love to die
and its only as shahidah

The man who said, 'It is I'

A CERTAIN man once came and knocked on on the door of a friend.

'Who are you, faithful one?' his friend asked.

'I,' he answered.

'Go away', the friend said. 'It is not the proper time. There is no place for such a raw fellow at a table like mine.'

What shall cook the raw, but he fire of banishment and separation? What shall deliver him out of hypocrisy?

That wretched man departed and wandered abroad for a year, burned as with sparks of fire in separation from his friend. So, scorched, he was cooked; then he returned and once more circled about the house of his companion. Fearful a hundredfold, he gently knocked tat the door, anxious lest any unmannerly word should escape his lips.

His friend called, 'Who is that at the door?'

He answered, 'You also are at the door, heart-ravisher!'

'Now,' the friend cried, 'since you are I, come in. O I! There is not room in the house for two I's.'

Book Riview: Jangan Nodai cinta

Yesterday i was joining book discussion held by prima bimantara. was a gr8 review showed by young speaker "ustadz Syahrul Syah", hilarious speaker with many expression during his speech... anyway i was late got there cos defi's bike got spiked so we have to walk across the street to find "tukang tambal ban" to change the back tire... one next happend was... her bike machine was stopped whilst the traffic light was red... oh my god... watta experience!!!...
lets back to the book review, book review of this month is "Jangan Nodai Cinta".... anyway what is love we called all this time.... i didnt noticed the review properly... just discussed with friends abt love is and abt our love, thts all, but i realize, who can give us the real love?... boyfriend?... boss?... money?... mostly we asked their love but we never know, whether they really loves us or no. is it love when we too much asking? the answer is no... after all i ve searched the meaning of true love. still i didnt find the most true love than Allah's love, Arrosul's love and Parent's love.... they give us love, never asking too much, just giving and giving, the key to get their love is "obedience".....

My love is my obedience

One day if i have to give my love
i will only give my obedience

one day if i have to give my love
it will only for you who love Allah and His messenger

one day if we love each other
it will only love for obedience to Allah

one day if i have to end my love
i only want to end with you

so i can be ur angel in jannah

RAMADHAN AND THE QURAN

Allah has mentioned in surah Baqarah verse 185,
"Ramadhan is the month in which was sent down the Quran,as a guide to mankind, also clear (signs) for guidance and judgemnet (bw right n wrong). So everyone of u who is present (at his home) during this month should spend fasting, but if anyone is ill,or on journey, the prescribed perioud(should b made up) by days later.Allah intends every facility for u;He does not want to put u to difficulties.(He wants u) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in tht He has guided u;and perchance you shall b grateful."
It is evident from the above verse tht the Glory and greatness of Ramadhan is due to revelation of Quran in this month so this is the month in which we celebrate the revelation of Quran.A very intresting thing to note is tht anything which gets attached to Quran becomes supreme and great.Like,
1)The angel who brought the Quran is regarded as the heads of all angels.
2)The prophet on whom the Quran was revealed is considered as the heads of all prophets.
3)The month in which the Quran was revealed is considered as the heads of all other months.
4)the night on which this Quran was revealed is considered as the most important and the holiest night in a person's life.
5)The places where the Quran was revealed r the most holiest places in the world.
6)The creatures on whom the Quran was revealed r the most high in Allah's sight n r ASHRUF-UL-MUKHLOOQAAT!!!!!!!And the prophet also said tht the best amongst u r those who leanr n teach Quran.
So all this is due to Quran...............Do we hv this understanding of Quran n consider it so High n Noble????

The Virtues of Hijab

1.An act of obedience.

The hijab is an act of obedience to Allah and to his prophet (pbuh), Allah says in the Qur'an: `It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His messenger have decreed a matter that they should have an option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, has indeed strayed in a plain error.' (S33:36).

Allah also said: 'And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things) and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc) and not to show off their adornment except what must (ordinarily) appear thereof, that they should draw their veils over their Juyubihinna.'(S24:31).

2.The Hijab is IFFAH (Modesty).

Allah (subhana wa'atala) made the adherence to the hijab a manifestation for chastity and modesty. Allah says: 'O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) over their bodies (when outdoors). That is most convenient that they should be known and not molested.' (S33:59). In the above Ayaah there is an evidence that the recognition of the apparent beauty of the woman is harmful to her. When the cause of attraction ends, the
restriction is removed. This is illustrated in the case of elderly women who may have lost every aspect of attraction. Allah (swt) made it permissible for them to lay aside their outer garments and expose their faces and hands reminding, however, that is still better for them to keep their modesty.

3.The hijab is Tahara (Purity)
Allah (swt) had shown us the hikma (wisdom) behind the legislation of the hijab: `And when you ask them (the Prophet's wives) for anything you want, ask them from behind a screen, that is purer for your hearts and their hearts.' (S33:53).

The hijab makes for greater purity for the hearts of believing men and women because it screens against the desire of the heart. Without the hijab, the heart may or may not desire. That is why the heart is more pure when the sight is blocked (by hijab) and thus the prevention of fitna (evil actions is very much manifested. The hijab cuts off the ill thoughts and the greed of the sick hearts:

`Be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy or evil desire for adultery, etc) should be moved with desire, but speak in an honorable manner.' (S33:32)

4.The hijab is a Shield

The prophet (pbuh) said: "Allah, Most High, is Heaven, is Ha'yeii (Bashful), Sit'teer (Shielder). He loves Haya' (Bashfulness) and Sitr (Shielding; Covering)." The Prophet (pbuh) also said: "Any woman who takes off her clothes in other than her husband's house (to show off for unlawful purposes), has broken Allah's shield upon her. "The hadith demonstrates that depending upon the kind of action committed there will
be either reward (if good) or punishment (if bad).

5. The hijab is Taqwah (Righteousness)

Allah (swt) says in the Qur'an: `O children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover yourselves (screen your private parts, etc) and as an adornment. But the raiment of righteousness, that is better.'(S7:26). The widespread forms of dresses in the world today are mostly for show off and hardly taken as a cover and shield of the woman's body. To the believing women, however the purpose is to
safeguard their bodies and cover their private parts as a manifestation of the order of Allah. It is an act of Taqwah (righteousness).

6.The hijab is Eemaan (Belief or Faith)

Allah (swt) did not address His words about the hijab except to the believing women, Al-Mo'minat. In many cases in the Qur'an Allah refers to the "the believing women". Aisha (RA), the wife of the prophet (pbuh), addressed some women from the tribe of Banu Tameem who came to visit her and had light clothes on them, they were improperly dressed: "If indeed you are believing women, then truly this is not the dress of the believing women, and if you are not believing women, then enjoy it."

7. The hijab is Haya' (Bashfulness)
There are two authentic hadith which state: "Each religion has a morality and the morality of Islam is haya'" AND "Bashfulness is from belief, and belief is in Al-Jannah (paradise)". The hijab fits the natural bashfulness which is a part of the nature of women.

8.The hijab is Gheerah

The hijab fits the natural feeling of Gheerah, which is intrinsic in the straight man who does not like people to look at his wife or daughters. Gheerah is a driving emotion that drives the straight man to safeguard women who are related to him from strangers. The straight MUSLIM man has Gheerah for ALL MUSLIM women In response to lust and desire, men look (with desire) at other women while they do not mind that other men do the same to their wives or daughters. The mixing of sexes and absence of hijab destroys the Gheera in men. Islam considers Gheerah an integral
part of faith. The dignity of the wife or daughter or any other Muslim woman must be highly respected and defended

You Will Not Enter Paradise By Your Deeds Alone

The People of Hadeeth believe and testify that no one is entitled to Paradise, even if he had performed good deeds and his worship was the most sincere, or his obedience was the purest obedience and his way was a pleasing one, unless Allaah favors him, thereby granting it to him through HIS Blessings and Graciousness. Since the good deeds which the person performed was not made easy for him except by the facilitation of Allaah, Mighty is HIS Name. So if HE had not facilitated it for him, the person would not have been able to accomplish this deed and (similarly) if HE did not guide him to it, he would never have accomplished it out of his own effort and exhortation. Allaah, The Most Mighty and the Majestic says,

And had it not been for the Grace of Allaah and HIS Mercy on you, not one of you would ever have been pure from sins. But Allaah purifies (guides to Islaam) whom HE wills. An-Nur 24:21

And He said informing us about the people of Paradise,

And they will say: "All the praises and thanks be to Allaah, Who has guided us to this, never could we have found guidance, were it not that Allaah had guided us! Al-A'raf 7:43

Wa Lillaahil Hamd

Death Bed

It was early in the morning at four,
When death knocked upon a bedroom door,

Who is there? The sleeping one cried.
I'm Malakul Mawt, let me inside.

At once, the man began to shiver,
As one sweating in deadly fever,

He shouted to his sleeping wife,
Don't let him take away my life.

Please go away, O Angel of Death!
Leave me alone; I'm not ready yet.

My family on me depends,
Give me a chance, O please prepense!

The angel knocked again and again,
Friend! I'll take your life without a pain,

This your soul Allah requires,
I come not with my own desire.

Bewildered, the man began to cry,
O Angel I'm so afraid to die,

I'll give you gold and be your slave,
Don't send me to the unlit grave.

Let me in, O Friend! The Angel said,
Open the door; get up from your bed,

If you do not allow me in,
I will walk through it, like a Jinn.

The man held a gun in his right hand,
Ready to defy the Angel's stand.

I'll point my gun, towards your head,
You dare come in; I'll shoot you dead.

By now the Angel was in the room,
Saying, O Friend! Prepare for you doom.

Foolish man, Angels never die,
Put down your gun and do not sigh.

Why are you afraid! Tell me O man,
To die according to Allah's plan?

Come smile at me, do not be grim,
Be Happy to return to Him.

O Angel! I bow my head in shame,
I had no time to take Allah's Name.

From morning till dusk, I made my wealth,
Not even caring for my health.

Allah's command I never obeyed,
Nor five times a day I ever prayed.

A Ramadan came and a Ramadan went,
But no time had I to repent.

The Hajj was already FARD on me,
But I would not part with my money.

All charities I did ign ore,
Taking usury more and more.

O Angel! I appeal to you,
Spare my life for a year or two.

The Laws of Quran I will obey,
I'll begin SALAT this very day.

My Fast and Hajj, I will complete,
And keep away from self-conceit.

I will refrain from usury,
And give all my wealth to charity,

We Angels do what Allah demands,
We cannot go against His commands.

Death is ordained for everyone,
Father, mother, daughter or son.

I'm afraid this moment is your last,
Now be reminded, of your past,

I do understand your fears ,
But it is now too late for tears.

You lived in this world, two score and more,
Never did you, your people adore.

Your parents, you did not obey,
Hungry beggars, you turned away.

Instead of making more Muslims,
You made your children non-Muslims.

You ignored the Mua'dhin Adhaan,
Nor did you read the Holy Quran.

Breaking promises all your life,
Backbiting friends, and causing strife.

From hoarded goods, great profits you made,
And your poor workers, you underpaid.

Horses and cards were your leisure,
Moneymaking was your pleasure.

You ate vit amins and grew more fat,
With the very sick, you never sat.

A pint of blood you never gave,
Which could a little baby save?

O Human, you have done enough wrong,
You bought good properties for a song.

When the farmers appealed to you,
You did not have mercy, tis true.

Paradise for you? I cannot tell,
Undoubtedly you will dwell in hell.

There is no time for you to repent,
I'll take your soul for which I am sent.

The ending however, is very sad,
Eventually the man became mad

With a cry, he jumped out of bed,
And suddenly, he fell down dead.

O Reader! Take moral from here,
You never know, your end may be near

Change your living and make amends
For heaven, on your deeds depends.

If this poem inspires you,
It can help someone too.

Save Palestine, We Care!!!

Sunday, September 21, 2003
At The Auditorium of University of Indonesia, Takbir “Allahu Akbar” ricocheted by muslims during the Nasheed concert held by Salam UI. And for more or less 6 hours, started from 9 am, the hilarious among young muslims shown in their face *including me*. All the nasheed groups gave us the best shoot, and burnt our enthusiasm to fight for Palestine freedom, and turn on our hatred to Israel and USA. The most exciting from this event, in the middle of the concert, Salam UI brought a sheik from Palestine into a stage, to live up our spirit. One by one the groups showed their performance, started with Melodi islam and ended up with Arruhul Jadid, which has got 30.000 copies for their album in the first launch, that was such a great number for the nasheed cassettes. As our solidarity for Palestine, thru this concert, collected around 4.5 million rupiahs and some stuff such rings, watches, etc.

Noah's Ark

In recent years there have been some renewed attempts to locate the Ark. These attempts will perhaps continue until we have the answers we wish to have. Among the researchers is an American who is obtaining aerial photos of Mt. Ararat from the CIA collection. The Holy Quran describes the story of Prophet Noah (peace be on him), his building of the Ark, the people who joined him and the Flood in detail. The water started gushing out from a particular oven, followed by a large number of other springs as well as a heavy downpour from the sky. The following is note 46 to the verse 44 of Surah Hud 11 in A. A. Maududi's text, "Towards Understanding the Quran", vol. IV, pp. 102-4. Page 103 has the map of the Land of Noah's people and Mount Judi.

Mount Judi is situated to the north-east of the Island of Ibn 'Umar in Kurdistan. According to the Bible, the Ark's resting place was Ararat, which is the name of a particular mountain as well as of a whole range of mountains in Armenia. Ararat, in the sense of a mountain range, extends from the Armenian plateau to southern Kurdistan. The mount called Judi is part of this range and is known even today by the same name. In ancient historical accounts, Mount Judi is mentioned as the place where the Ark rested. Around 250 B.C., a Babylonian priest, Berasus, wrote a history of his country based on Chaldean traditions. He mentions Judi as the resting-place of Noah's Ark. The history written by Abydenus, a disciple of Aristotle, also corroborates this. Abydenus further remarks that many people in Mesopotamia possessed pieces of the Ark which they used as a charm. They ground those pieces in water and gave the preparation to the sick so as to cure them of their ailments.

In connection with this great incident one is also faced with the question of whether the Flood was universal or whether it was limited to the area inhabited by the people of Noah. This question remains unanswered to this day. Under the influence of Israelite traditions, it is believed that it was a universal Flood (Genesis 7: 18-24). The Qur'an, however, does not explicitly say so. There are several allusions in the Qur'an which indicate that subsequent generations of mankind are the descendants of those who were saved from the Flood. But that does not necessarily mean that the Flood covered the whole world. For, it is quite plausible that at that point in history the human population was confined only to the area which was overtaken by the Flood, and that those born after the Flood gradually dispersed to other parts of the world. This view is supported by two things. Firstly, ancient historical traditions, archaeological discoveries and geological data provide evidence that a great flood took place at some period in the distant past in the Tigris-Euphrates region. There is no such evidence for a universal flood. Secondly, traditions about a great flood have been popular among all communities of the world down the ages. Such traditions are found even in the folklore of such distant regions as Australia, America and New Guinea. One may thus conclude that at some time in the past the ancestors of all these communities lived together in some region which was overtaken by the Flood. Since presumably their descendants subsequently dispersed to, and settled down in, different parts of the world, they transmitted and preserved the traditions of this great Flood.

Our Death is our Wedding

Our death is our wedding with eternity.
What is the secret? "God is One."
The sunlight splits when entering the windows of the house.
This multiplicity exists in the cluster of grapes;
It is not in the juice made from the grapes.
For he who is living in the Light of God,
The death of the carnal soul is a blessing.
Regarding him, say neither bad nor good,
For he is gone beyond the good and the bad.
Fix your eyes on God and do not talk about what is invisible,
So that he may place another look in your eyes.
It is in the vision of the physical eyes
That no invisible or secret thing exists.
But when the eye is turned toward the Light of God
What thing could remain hidden under such a Light?
Although all lights emanate from the Divine Light
Don't call all these lights "the Light of God";
It is the eternal light which is the Light of God,
The ephemeral light is an attribute of the body and the flesh.
...Oh God who gives the grace of vision!
The bird of vision is flying towards You with the wings of desire.
